Introduction
Battle items are items used in Battle to give Pokémon increase defense, attack or gives a special condition to the Pokémon. Every Battle item has its benefits, and a Pokémon can only hold one item at the time. The items listed recommended here can be useful for lots of Pokémon but you should research if there is a better item for a specific Pokémon. Usually what pros use is the best option.

Choice Items:
The choice items are items that increase Attack, Sp.Att or speed by 1.5 but carries the downside that a Pokémon can only use an attack until the Pokémon is switched out.
This items is recommended to Pokemon that have good speed stat. Depending of the choice item you can use it to out-speed Pokemon so attack before other Pokemon. Or the other option is to use an extremely fast Pokemon and cause the most damage possible.
Musle Band:
The Musle Band increases the attack by 10% with-out any drawback.
Wiseglasses:
The Wiseglasses increase the Sp.Att by 10% with-out any drawback.
Life orb:
The life-Orb increase your Attack by 30% but every turn where you attack you will also lose 10% of your health.
Leftovers:
At the end of each turn a pokemon will recover a bit of health in total 1/16 of a Pokémons health. Great to make a bulky pokemon survive for a lot longer.
Sitrus Berry:
The sitrus berry item only works if a Pokémon has its health on 1/2 after then the item will be consumed and the Pokemon is going to heal up 1/4 of its health. Great to make a bulky Pokémon survive for a lot longer.
Focus Sash:
Focus Sash allows a Pokemon to survive a hit that normaly would have KO, a Pokemon. Really usefull when your Pokémon is fast and deals a lot of damage.
Quick Claw:
Gives a chance of 1/5 that a Pokémon will move first, regardless of the speed stat. Good item if you want to use a Pokémon with not the best speed Stat.
Assault West:
The Assault West increase your Sp.Def by 50% but you can use only attacking moves. Great for bulky Pokémon with a lower Sp.Def stat.
